Meet our new family member…

05-25-10

Jax !!!  My wife and I are so excited about our new puppy.  Both of us are huge dog lovers so the decision to get another dog was a pretty easy one.  We researched a couple of other breeds, but every time, we kept deciding that the love & loyalty from a Doberman was the only way to go.  The housebreaking, training, and everything else has been going great so far.  I have no doubts that he is going to make a great big brother to the new baby.  It’s amazing how smart he is at this age and how quickly he learns things.  Since he’ll being getting a lot bigger relatively quickly….just for reference, here are a few of his first pics at 10 weeks old and 22 lbs.

And his nose is amazing.  He explores just about everything outdoors.  Dogs’ sense of smell, even at this age, is mind-blowing.  Let’s see…so far in just 2 days, he has found in our backyard a shed snake-skin from a small black snake, a very tiny dead lizard, rabbit droppings, etc.  And this is stuff way down in the grass.  His most amazing discovery though was…
A very large Regal Moth.  I never would have known these were there.  At first glance, it just appeared to be one, but to my surprise…
There were two mating !!  I’m looking forward to documenting Jax grow up.

Alice & Mark’s Wedding | M. Clay Photography

05-13-10

Alice & Mark recently got married at the University Hilton in Charlotte, NC.  It was a beautiful ceremony filled with emotion and you could tell they could not wait to be husband & wife.  The day went so smooth starting with Mark and all his groomsmen (who are all military) being precisely on time.  Hint to all my future grooms 🙂  The rain held off most of the day and the first drops started falling right as we were snapping the last 2 formals, so we went with Plan ‘B’ on the bride & groom portraits (shoot inside the hotel).

Alice & Mark, we had a great time shooting the wedding and wish the two of you a wonderful life together.  Here are a few images of their wedding day.

Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island Wedding {Serwa + Travis} | Jacksonville, FL

05-03-10

I had the pleasure of shooting my first destination wedding a couple of weekends ago and I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful occasion.  Serwa & Travis exchanged vows in front of a small group of friends and family on the The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island Oceanfront lawn.  The weather was great, the wedding party was gorgeous, and the reception kept me thoroughly entertained.  The groom said it best….the reception wasn’t just a “reception”, it was a celebration ! Travis & Serwa…thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful day:
Don’t even try to figure out what happened here….you needed to be there to appreciate how funny this was 🙂
