Charlotte Engagement Session {Angela + Caleb}

We got to take advantage of the beautiful Charlotte weather again last weekend and had the pleasure of photographing Angela & Caleb’s engagement session.  What a gorgeous couple !!  They are also a lot of fun, and you can really tell they love each other.  They had so much natural interaction….there were often times, all I had to do was just stand back and capture it.  We are looking forward to shooting their wedding this spring.  Here are some of my favorites from their E-session.

Since it was Valentine’s weekend, it was only appropriate to get a few “themed” shots

Charlotte Engagement Session {Cathy + Zam}

This past weekend, we hung out with Cathy & Zam to capture their engagement session. After all of the bitter cold, then rain, it was such a relief to have such beautiful weather to work with.  Sometimes, you just know when you first meet a couple that you’ll enjoy working with them. That was these guys all the way. They like to laugh, have fun, dance, and even came up with a few of their own unique ideas. I’ll be doing a bridal session for Cathy and their wedding later this year and I’m looking forward to both.  Cathy is Liberian and there will some traditional attire and festivities at their reception so I am super excited about that. Here are some pics from their E-session.

Sneak peek of this weekend’s engagement sessions

We were able to take full advantage of the beautiful weather we had on Valentine’s weekend with two great couples.  What better way to spend it than hanging out with my wife while also documenting the love of two other beautiful couples.  Here is a sneak peek from their engagement sessions.  Full blog posts coming later this week.

    M.Clay-You have captured these two brilliantly! I’ll be doing the floral work for Angela and Caleb’s wedding. Looking forward to working with you-would love to be able to purchase some of your shots of the design/florals from their day for my upcoming website. Really love your work! We’ll have to talk….

Recent pics of the puppy

I haven’t posted any recent pics of my little buddy lately.  Jax has gotten a lot bigger since I last posted pics of  him.  Actually, he has doubled in size since my last blog post when he was 4 months old and 30lbs 🙂  He is 11 months old now and 85 lbs.  He hasn’t started putting on his “grown man weight” yet.  He is still a very energetic (and mischevious) puppy and extremely smart.  I’m glad he doesn’t do this anymore, but when he was younger…every opportunity he got, he would go grab a roll of toilet paper out of the bathroom and make confetti in the hallway.  LOL.  This is just one of MANY stories.

One of his favorite things….looking out the window

First Engagement Session of the year ! {Jennifer + Isaac}

Our first engagement session of 2011 !!  This engagement session was special in so many ways…of course because it was our first engagement session of the year, but this was also our first session with dogs.  Anybody who knows me knows I LOVE dogs and I was thrilled when they said they wanted to include their beautiful Mastiffs, Bishop & Bella in some of the pics.  As I personally know all too well…It’s very challenging to shoot dogs and I have huge respect for pet photograhers because dogs operate on their own agenda and could care less about looking in the direction of your camera.

Jennifer & Isaac are an absolutely hilarious couple who are perfectly matched, love each other to pieces, and know how to have fun…too much fun 🙂  We enjoyed hanging out with them and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding later this year.  Here are some of my favorite pics from their engagement session.

Isaac is from Buffalo and obviously a Bills fan, so he had to demo his Thurman Thomas throwback jersey for me real quick.  Funny thing about this is…he just started striking poses on his own without giving me any notice.  Luckily, I had my camera ready.  If you can’t tell, he doesn’t mind putting on a show in front of the lens.  LOL

Somehow, I convinced Isaac to put Jennifer in a MMA chokehold.  I told you they were a lot of fun.

This has got to be one of hardest laughs I have ever seen.

Jennifer & Isaac…Congratulations on your engagment and thanks again for allowing us to hang out with you and the “puppies”.
