Cathy's Bridal Session | Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Last weekend, we shot Cathy & Zam’s beautiful wedding which has A LOT of surprises !!  I’ll be posting their wedding in a few weeks, but in the meantime….her are some images from Cathy’s bridal session.  My assistant said it best…Cathy has such a “regal” look.  She could definitely pass for royalty.  I also thought I’d mention….I love cathedral length veils 🙂

Charlotte Wedding & Big Chill Reception | {Rashele + Craig}

Last month, we shot the first of 4 weddings in September.  Rashele has been a good friend of mine for many years.  We’ve known each other since high school and she’s also a fellow NC A&T State alumni.  I was absolutely honored to be able to document her and Craig’s special day.  Rashele & Craig are such a laid back couple…and so easy to work with.  The weather was great, the day went smoothly, and they had a fun & cooperative wedding party…..what else could you ask for.  The ceremony took place at her home church here in Charlotte and reception at The Big Chill.

Recent M. Clay Photography news

Well, it has been forever since I’ve blogged anything new, but for great reason.  We’ve recently added a new member to the M. Clay Photography team !!  We introduced our new daughter to the world on September 23rd.  So in addition to an already full wedding photography schedule, we’ve been adjusting to having a newborn and getting accustomed to that HUGE responsibility.  Many of my current clients aren’t aware of this, but we unfortunately lost our 11-day old newborn son last year to a heart defect so we were extremely overjoyed to simply be able to bring home a beautiful, healthy little girl.

Having said all that, I’m a little bit backed up on editing weddings.  But one thing I don’t ever do is sacrifice quality so my turnaround time is a little longer than usual right now.  I have several weddings I’ll be posting over the next several weeks as well as some pretty cool non-wedding stuff so be sure to check the blog frequently.

And here’s a few quick practice shots I took of our little girl…which quickly reminded me why I have so much respect for newborn photographers. It takes a lot of patience 🙂
